SILICA POWER 5 L

Silicon is a very effective preventative against diseases, fungi and insects by increasing the mechanical resistance of the epidermal cell wall. When water is consumed by the plant, it is absorbed by the xylem and immobilized in crystals, forming a barrier that increases resistance in adverse conditions (too much cold, heat, dryness, salinity and mineral toxicity). With Silica Power we will have improved growth and great fertility of the pollen produced.
Silicon acts as a containment barrier in areas where the plant is infected by fungi, where it accumulates, preventing their entry. In the cell walls of the roots it acts as a preventative against attacks by parasites and pathogens.
It has a great interaction with Calcium and Magnesium, promoting their mobilization and avoiding nutrient blockages. It is essential in soils with pH below 6.0 and above 7.0, as it increases cation exchange, helping to regulate the pH of the substrate. The soil must be moist before applying it to obtain the best results.
As a curiosity, we note that trichomes are composed of between 13 and 60% silicon, which is the main mechanical barrier that the plant has to protect itself from solar radiation.
It is essential in hydroponic crops, since the total absence of silicon in these crops generates a large number of fungal problems. It is also especially recommended in coconut fiber crops and in any cultivation system that we want to protect and increase the capacity of cation exchange in the system.
